Headstart Children's Nursery and Preschool in Lewisham is a wonderful 63 place day nursery catering for children aged 3 months to 5 years.
Headstart have fully implementing the government's Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and all children have an individual learning record and activities planned to support their individual developmental needs.
Our nursery has four spacious and comfortable rooms where children start as 'New Beginners' developing into 'Little Explorers' and making their way up to 'Active Explorers' and 'Independent Learners' in our Preschool room before preparing to attend 'big school'. We have a qualified teacher leading the staff in the Preschool room.
The garden has been refurbished with a free flow area for the Preschool room. The staff are in the process of devising new areas for the children to explore including a mini beast area and sensory area.
Flexible Day Nursery and Preschool Sessions
Whether you require full time early years education or part time childcare for your child the nursery will do their upmost to accommodate your requirements.
We provide childcare from 8am to 6pm, 50 weeks per year (closed for a week of staff development in May, between Christmas and New Year and on Bank Holidays). Children can attend our nursery or preschool for full days (8am to 6pm) or half days (8am to 1pm or 1pm to 6pm). Late pick-ups (6.30pm) are available if required.
Our nursery and preschool services are fully inclusive so your child will receive meals, snacks, milk, even nappies are provided. See Meals and Nutrition for further information.
