Janice Dunsford - Nursery Manager
Janice is the nursery manager and was covering the previous manager's maternity leave. The previous manager has decided to not return to work and Janice was delighted to accept the role on a permanent basis. She has worked with young children since 1992 and has managed nurseries in Highbury, Chigwell and Chelsea.
Janice has the NNEB, ADCE (Advanced Diploma in Child Care and Education) Montessori teacher's assistant certificate and has recently completed the Degree in Early Childhood Studies.
Janice spent 3 years as a childminder to enable her to stay at home with her son until he went to school. She has a vast experience of working with young children and has been a manager since 2000. She says " working with young children is a great job, no two days are ever the same and I still enjoy the challenge that running a nursery brings".
Sarah Gibson - Deputy Manager
Sarah Gibson joined Head Start in February 2010. Sarah joined from a nursery in Bexley where she worked as Deputy Manager.
Sarah is qualified to NVQ Level 4 in Childcare and Education and has a CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education (to Level 3). Sarah started as a nursery nurse in 2005.
Pat Jerrom - Nursery Cook
Pat Jerrom comes from Lee Green and has been in the catering trade for many years, running pubs and clubs. She had a change of career in 2009 when she joined Head Start as cook.
Pat was a quarter finalist in Taste the Nation which was shown on television in February in 2009 and in March 2010
Pat was shortlisted to the final four in the Best Employee category of the Mayor of Lewisham's Business Awards.
