Rodeo Fun Day 5th September

Come and join us for a Rodeo fun day on Sunday 5th September 2010 between 10am and 2pm. There will be a chance to meet the staff team and other parents as well as taking part with fun activities.

We have limited spaces in the nursery, so don't miss out on your chance to register with us.

Our award winning cook will be preparing an American themed BBQ and snacks.

Feel free to join the staff with dressing up as a cowboy or cowgirl!

Learning through play
Our nursery and preschool follow the government based framework for early learning called the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The EYFS is split into four themes: A Unique Child, Positive Relationships, Enabling Environments and Learning and Development. These four themes are the key principles that underpin effective practice in the care, development and learning of young children.

A Unique Child commits to child development, inclusive practice, keeping safe and health and wellbeing.

Positive Relationships commits to respecting each-other, parents as partners, supporting learning and the key person approach.

Enabling Environments commits to observation, planning and assessment of children, supporting every child, the learning environment and the wider context (e.g. working in partnership with other settings, professionals and community groups).

Learning and Development commits to play and exploration, active learning, creativity and critical thinking and areas of learning and development. Learning and development is made up of six areas:
  • Communication, language and literacy
  • Problem solving, reasoning and numeracy
  • Personal, social and emotional development
  • Physical development
  • Creative development
  • Knowledge and understanding of the world

All areas of Learning and development are connected to one another and are equally important.
